I heard about the book some time ago, then managed to find the movie online. To my disappointment, the movie is very boring and not as fun as I thought.

There are quite a number of big names in the movie, but somehow I felt awkward and embarrassed for the characters in the movie. I gave up after 20 minutes and assumed it's just another stupid relationship expert book.

 

But today, on my way to the little Sushi place I like, I found the book on the street stall for only ten yuan. OK, I admit I have no respect for copyright. Anyway, I just bought it to kill time while waiting for my favorite Japanese noodle. Surprisingly, it is very amusing! And certain lines can be even hilarious because of the way they wrote it. It is very much like a chitchat between gals or their guy friends, full of irony and teasing. Now I understand why I don't like the movie. In the book, the author wrote in a friendly joking way. They were not acting like some relationship experts, but simply making fun of their own experiences or their friend's stories. Somehow, it is the readers who take it too seriously. I find it particularly interesting when the author described the fever of their fans. I mean, to me, making a movie out of it, is already way too serious. It is not like the book helps to resolve the mystery of relationships that puzzles us for centuries. If you are too serious about what others are joking about, then you become a joke.

 

Well, based on my experience, guys are way much simpler than what women think they are. If you know when to apply this logic, then your life will be much happier. I have to say that women are good at making ourselves miserable over relationships. But women are never stupid. It is just, sometimes, to have something miserable is better than to feel boring. In fact, to admit that we just use it to kill time makes us look bad and insincere. But, at some point, to face the truth will free us. Why not? At the end of the day, everyone needs to set some ground rules in their relationships. Once the rules are broken, there is no turning back, simple as that.

I am never an expert on anything. And I believe people never learn. But it does not matter.

Once you are over it, it is over. And you will even marvel at how fast you are over it, because you have better things to do.

Hahahaha, but I do recommand this book to you gals and guys, just to kill time or to enjoy some laughters. I can really use it duing hectic days.
